He joined NAI Southern Real Estate in 2004. Prior to joining NAI Southern Real Estate, Mr. Sumner was employed with Charlotte based Providence Real Estate Advisors for 5 years. While at Providence Real Estate Advisors he was very active in the leasing of Center City office space, closing over 80 real estate transactions. While at Southern, Mr. Sumner has focused on both office and land transactions, qualifying for CRCBR’S multimillion dollar award in 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009.

Mr. Sumner has served the real estate needs of a number of local, regional, and national office tenants including: Tribble Creative Group, PR Newswire, Reuters, Babcock & Wilcox, The Matlen Silver Group, Public Consulting Group, the GSA and the Charlotte Bobcats.
Mr. Sumner represents the seller of approximately 73 acres in Fort Mill, SC that is being developed by Koll Development Company for their Charlotte Intellicenter. Mr. Sumner successfully structured a purchase of the 17 acres fronting Interstate 77 and an option for the remaining 55 acres which closed in May of 2007.
Mr. Sumner is responsible for leasing Carnegie VIII, a 105,000 sq.ft. Class A office building in Southpark. Since Mr. Sumner took over the project, the building has reached 100% occupancy and is well positioned to capitalized on the few vacancies it will realize in the coming years.
